Random Thought
One day, when I have a show (TV or webisode) where I can just do weird, random skits (sorta Monty Python style), I want to do one where two characters have having this dead serious conversation. Maybe there was a murder in their neighborhood, and the two are discussing it on a park bench, out near dusk. Then one person looks at the other.
Person A: Do you believe in the Devil?
Then the camera slow pans across the park from them, down the path, slowly, to another park bench, and there sits the Devil. Full red makeup, gigantic horns, tail interwoven with his gentlemanly crossed legs (with hooves, of course), sitting there, reading a book. Just slowly reading his book, his clawed finger moving down the pages are he reads the passage.
He licks his finger, pulls the page over, and just keeps reading.
Licked finger, pull the page over.
I want this take to go on for two, three minutes.
At a certain point, it stops being funny, and the camera never moves away. And because of that, eventually, it just goes back to being funny again.
Then the skit goes back to the two people, and nothing is ever said about the Devil again.
